Hit Meridian at about 7:30am.
Got into the Kokanee right away although they were pretty small. The keepers were all 8.5 to 9.5 inches. Before I switched to Bass I caught 8 and released 4. All on the copper wee dick nite. I was way at the other end of the lake by this point, so I thought I could fish for Bass for awhile and catch another one on the way back. I threw a Jig and Pig for about 30 minutes with no hookups and went back to trolling. Of course now the fish stopped biting. Trolled another hour before finally hooking a rainbow. I was wondering where all the trout were, because the last few times I was here I could not keep them off this lure.
Trolled another 30 mins, another stocker trout (C n R'd again). Much slower than earlier. Finally decided to head to the launch (again). Hooked into my last keeper Koke (finally!) and then dashed out of there like I was on the rowing team.
Right by the boat launch I saw a huge Smallmouth swim by. I talked to one Bass fisherman who said he had caught and released one Smallie about 4#.
Water was beautiful, dead calm with even a few rays of sunshine. All the fish were biting right in the middle of the lake.

Forgot to add that the ones I released were really small. A couple were only 4 inches! I hope those are next years stock...
