Sounds like the winter time was the time to be there. Plus the Tribal Police are stickler and issued some dude a $70.00 ticket for "illegal camping" -- no signs posted so he just camped. I hear it's been slow.

I am sure the bigger fish are moving out to deeper water espiecially during daylight hours. Probably only cruise the shallows at dawn and dusk.
My brother will be taking his two boys over at the end of the month with the boat. I'd bet money he will find at least the 5# fish if not bigger. And I'm not invited even if the boat is half mine. Cool, family bonding time.

Fished at the pens by the campground. Was there three days in a row. Morning or evening, the fish that's biting are mostly small in size.

I found that the fishing at the pens held the smallest fish anywhere on the river, but the most fish. Move up or downstream 3-4 miles from the pens and you'll find bigger fish. You will find very few signs on the reservation telling you what you can or can't do. I like that even though I was almost ticketed camping at the net pens 3 weeks ago. I was told by non natives I could camp there, nope. You'll receive a fishing and camping regulations book, so spend 10 mins reading those and you'll be fine. No camping is allowed anywhere on the reservation other than the designated campgrounds by non natives. If you know someone on the reservation you can camp as their guest. Are there any reservation members that want to be my buddy!......:)
