Started fishing from the shore about 6 p.m. casting a spotted daredevil. I must of had 5 hits in a row before I hauled in a small 8 inch tiger trout. He was a fiesty little booger, jumped 2 times clean out of the water before I landed and released him. Things slowed down for about an hour so I loaded up a hook with 2 red worms and a sinker and threw it out 20 feet to sit. About 7 p.m. I had a nice tug and fought a very healthy 17 " + tiger. I kept him for dinner to fry up. I have to admit he was a little on the soft flesh side,I usually fish cold water streams for brookies where the meat is a lot firmer. Can't say if I'll keep anymore to eat from Fish, but they are sure fun to catch. On the way back another fisherman said he landed a 22" tiger trout . I asked to see it and to my dismay it was smaller than the one I caught and measured.. LOL I guess he was using a rubber ruler for his measurement!
Thank god we finally got some nice weather... FISH ON!!!
