Took the daughter out this morning for some fishing on Tanwax at around six-thirty or so. Fishing was fairly slow most of the day. Did catch my limit and my son, who took over for the daughter around three o'clock, caught one. All rainbows...no monsters, just perfect for the grill and smoker.

Beautiful day, unsure of water temp. and air temp. Once it really warmed up, the daughter and I rolled up the pant legs and dangled our feet in the water. From what my feet could tell...the water is still pretty cold. I'd guess right around 50F or so.

Tossed around a polished gold kastmaster, a black & silver rooster tail, and a couple super dupers. Got a couple hits on the the kastmasters, but didn't hook up and land any of them.

Went with the good old standy-by of nightcrawler and a bobber. Seemed to be about the only thing they're hitting on. Tried bottom fishing with powerbait and powereggs, but no takers. Stuck with the worms the rest of the day.

The dock at the northeast end was got quite crowded around noon, but stuck it out until everyone else left...empty handed. Muwahahaha!!

Great day on the water with the kids!!
