I was surprised at the low turnout for a opener. Beautiful sunny calm weather all weekend, made up for the slow fishing. Picked up one 18 inch carry over and the rest were stocky 12 inchers. Very slow fishing with marshmallow and worm. Only a handful of people fishing on Sunday with slow action again. There's so many other lakes in the area that are open earlier in the year or year-around lakes that this is a great place to "get-away" from the opening day hoard at the other lakes.
