Got out a little late this morning and got on the water about 6:45am. Beautiful lake. Very nice lake to troll on. It was raining but not too cold. We trolled the whole lake with red and green wedding rings, with worms and without, with gangs and without. Tried rapala deep divers, a black and a white spinner. Nothing worked. Everyone else was striking out as well. About 10 boats on the lake.

Packed it in around 9:30. Some fish jumped up at the bow of the boat as we were leaving just to taunt us but we were done. Will come back here again to try my hand at some bass in late may when the weather warms up a bit.

Have you ever tried trolling a Wooly Bugger fly? They seem to work well for trout in most lakes.

I have had good luck with floating rapalas 11/2 in black silver, or trout colors. And trolling about 20' from shore just out of the structure. And the bass are biting with best results at night.I fish this lake a lot.

Thats odd its so slow. A buddy of mine got skunked on the opener there.
It used to be my home lake and favorite spot. Kokanee should start biting soon, but they aren't real big. They also plant some big Cutthroat in there...

There was some big fish in there by the looks of the fish jumping out of the water. Nice clear water lake. I was using an 11/2 silver flash rapala. Just kind of dead this morning. I have never tried a Wooly Bugger fly. Any color suggestions?

I like this lake I just wish it was a little more active. But I'm not giving up on it yet. It has tons of prime bass habitat. It's too nice to have a semi secluded lake to fish in. Sometimes in other lakes it feels as though I'm fishing right up in peoples backyards.

I also fished that morning and didn't get a nibble on a wide variety of different flies. lots of fish 15-20 feet down, but no takers. really strange.. sporadic rises out there. I did see one boat land a very large triploid, but that was it. also tried sinking and floating lines..
