Me and a buddy went out to Padden this evening and had a blast. Got there around 7:30 and walked to the left where Ty Woods was fishing and the Russian family had bucket loads of fish. Anyways, decided that that wasn't working so I walked to the right of the boat launch and finally found a nice spot where a couple people could cast. Me and my buddy threw needle fish and F-4 flat fish with no takers for 30 minutes. The fish were jumping all over, but they just wouldn't budge. So finally I decided that I would need to switch to bait so I used the can of worms that I was tipping my flatfish with and used the old method of bobber and worm. The bobber was only up 4 feet from the worm and that seemed to do the trick. Within' 45 we had 5 strikes and landed 3 trout. The biggest was 12 inches and the other two were 11.5 and 11. Nothing big but it was definitely a fun time to take out my friend who was a novice angler and have some success. I even forgot myself how much fun it is to see that bobber dunk underneath the water. Brings back childhood memories! I was a little surprised that they wouldn't take the red F-4 flatfish bc I did pretty well with it on opening day. Nonetheless, it was a beautiful evening on the water and the fish tasted amazing!

Man, I'm going to go bobber fishing now...

Forgot to add -- did you get on them "Russians?" -- that's gotta stop and you're the man to do it!
