Hit Williams for the first time in a boat. I had only fished it one other time from the dock at Klinks. Caught fish ALL day. I had to bait my wedding ring so many times I was getting tired of all the 10 inch fish I had to release. I expected the stock to be a little bigger. Very few keepers, except the nicest rainbow I have caught in a while. He was 18 inches an very fat! It was funny because he was the same length as a lot of the browns I catch at rock but he had probably twice the weight! Very healthy fish. I never did get bored trolling around by myself. Even though most of the fish were small it made for a very fun day!

You had to bait your wedding ring so many times because of the 10" fish... don't you mean you had to bait your wedding ring 5 times?

HAHa good one Aaron, cause of the Regs and all. :-) Long time viewer first time poster. If you want to fish williams without picking up the small fish all day, throw on a 3 inch Rapala that has a bass (rainbow works too) pattern. I seemed to catch the little ones all day too, when I had on a Rooster Tail or a wedding ring, but when I threw on the Rapala, I still got alot of hits (probably the little guys) but the only ones that I was hooking up with were the keepers. My opening day Rainbow, was 3.1 pounds 19 inches long. And I caught a 22 in 3.8 pounder out of liberty during their early opening.
