Grandma and grandpa and the grandkids (2) hit the lake at 7:30 AM. Started fishing around 8:00 AM. Full limits for all by 10:30 using chartreuse power bait and chartreuse power eggs on 4 foot of leader. Grandkids had a ball on their 1st ever fishing trip. Grandpa caught a 22 inch bow. weight unknown but it was at least 5lb. Very fat. Great time. Lake was moderately busy. Everyone on the lake was polite and courteous. Boat launch was steady action but never backed up.

Good on you, taking the grandkids out! I went out with a pal on a boat for the first time ever Saturday and he wants to find a place he can take his boy out and have a good deal of action...maybe I will talk him into taking him to Mineral...of course I will have to go along and ... um ... supervise, yeah thats it!
