After a brief encounter this morning with the locksmith down by the boat launch, my cousin and I hit the water at 8:30am. Action was off and on throughout the day. It took us till 1 pm to finally limit on 12-14 inch fish. Best action came from a black backed size 4 Glass Shad Rap. After catching our limits it was off to Potholes Reservoir for some Walleye action that was never to be. Just 1 bass.

Ya the fish werent real big but man they sure put up a fight.everyone of them came bustin out of the water numerous times.Lost many more.Nice bright colored with nice red meatThe smallie came out of Potholes later on in the day.this has to be my favorite opening day lake.Good enough for me to skip a day fishing for springers
