Fished the bank starting about 7:30am. The first 10 to 20 feet of shoreline was iced over. My buddy caught a nice 18 inch rainbow after about 30 minutes of fishing. I had to wait about an hour before I hooked a good one. It looked to be about 21 inches, but it ran under the ice just before I could land it--nice fish for someone else now! We were using Power Bait (I'm not going to say which color) fishing it about 2 feet off the bottom. There were over 100 people on the bank and in boats. From the looks of the fish everyone else was catching,(I didn't see a fish under 14 inches!) it was a good opening to the Winter Season.
