Hit chain today. started out trolling rapalas ,then worms, flatfish, wedding rings, dick -nites etc. nothing. We have an excellent fish finder and only marked four fish all morning. I guess that answers the question of the sportsmans club stocking it this year. The state says they also put a bunch of catchables in the lake but we sure couldn't find them. We also still fished for awhile with power bait and worms but were unsuccessful. But just being out there with no rain or snow made it a very pleasant morning. This lake can be fun for spiny rays and bass, so when the water heats up some more( it was 48F) we'll be back to try our luck again.

I was at Chain lake last week and found the same situation..... no fish on the fish finder.... we did not see a rise and the lake was really flat most of the time... what's up? went to Cassidy today, and had the same result.. no fish on the finder and 1 rise in 2 hours...... left and went to Roesiger.... good there..

thanks flyguy for the comment. we fished cassidy on friday of last week .(During the snow storm) we made two complete trips around the lake trolling various offerings as well as a bead head fly with a small bit of power bait on the hook. also still fished right in front of the launch for an hour until we just got too cold to fish anymore. talked to a guy at the launch he said he caught 3 trips earlier in the day from the shore using red power bait. go figure.... the fish are there but i think its slow due to the low barometric pressure. its going to be good when things warm up. tight lines
