We finally found a ball hitch that would fit my friend, Aaron's monster Dodge Ram 1500, yeah, it's got a Hemi..... Loaded up the boat and made the drive to launch at Potholes... We got there around 12:30 pm and ran to the beginning of the Dunes...trolled there for about 2 hours with no luck...Hundreds of carp sucking air...Nasty fish... Anyway, then we headed back to the Face of the dam near Mardon...Started trolling near the area where the docks used to be and WHAM ! ! ! My Mortal Enemy strikes with the precision of an F-15 Fighter... After a 10 minute fight I finally figured it was time to have the "Bow" join us in the boat... A superb 4 lb rainbow...he was full of life and jumped 7 times, the first jump was the best.... I think the bite is on... We were trolling at 2.2 Kts ( a little fast ) and We were both using an older Rapala rap minnow in a White/Silver color... Had 3 other hits and then my fishing partner decided that it was too cold for him (amateur), so we left...Mr. Rainbow joined us for the ride home...He has taken up temporary residence in the Garage Freezer....The Rainbow bite has started ! Remember, the common rainbow trout is your mortal enemy, Fish Till Ya Drop !!!
