The water is up and the boat ramp is open at the confluence of the Little Spokane ($7 seems a little steep though). Went looking for smallmouth, found none. Had a good time catching lots of squawfish (about this time of year, I'm happy to catch anything).

Did you turn the squaws into Crawdad feed?

Filletted, cut into strips, and frozen. They make good bait for pike and catfish.

I think the best thing for big cats are whole (small) suckers set out in the sun for an afternoon, but squaws make a fine substitute. Too bad the big catfish in sprague went away. Any ideas on where to find them elsewhere?
