Took my dad out in my Tracker for the first bass trip of the season to Mason Lake. Nice day, calm winds and overcast, with a few breaks of sun here and there. We started on the south end; I was flipping jigs and plastics around laydowns and my dad running a jerkbait and crankbait. No luck there so we tried the docks along the eastern shore and I managed three skinny cutthroats (the largest about 15") after I switched to a jointed Rapala Shad-Rap in yellow perch. That was it for the catch, but it was nice to be out on the water, the boat ran well, and we were the only ones there.
