I got to Kress at about 9:30 AM. I was the only boat on the lake, and there were about 12-15 people fishing from the docks and boat ramp area. I started fishing a green Rooster Tail and caught a brown trout on the first cast. I fished for about 4 hours and caught about 30 trout. (I was not counting them) Most of them were browns, and probably 10 were rainbows. All were 7-10 inches, as the Triploids have not been planted yet.

I switched to a small, silver wobbler and continued to catch fish. It seemed the faster I trolled, the more hits I got. The Osprey's were working the lake hard, and two eagles were perched in the tall trees. The people fishing from the bank were catching fish, but not as many as I did.

Traveling south on I-5, just north of Kalama, take the Kalama River Road exit. (Exit #32) Turn east for .2 mile to Old 99 So. Turn north on Old 99 So. for .2 mile to WDFW public access area. Good Luck. BJ
