Ended up heading to Beaver last minute this afternoon and fished for bass, ignoring the recent trout plant. It was a nice day, not much wind, 50+ degrees. I trolled and casted a blue metallic Rapala Husky Jerk for bass in the shallows because I was too stubborn to fish deep. I got a lot more hits than I was expecting, but I didn't land any fish. The fish that I saw hitting were average size, from what I saw of them when they attacked the lure they were about 10-15 inches. I think the bass are moving up for prespawn feeding as they were shallow but I saw no beds.

The trout fishermen were doing pretty well, especially the ones by the far end of the lake near the rock.

Not really. They're pretty stupid. Keep it simple. Troll powereggs or worms, because once you get any more complicated it works against you. And the trout in the lake spread out pretty fast. Most of them are already at the far end of the lake.
