Another cool and rainy day. Meridian got stocked this week with about 1/4 of the fish they get annually. I'm sure more will come within the next few weeks. Started out by the boat launch with no luck. Used power bait off the bottom, bobber with fake maggot, and a rooster tail. The new boat dock is nice. Headed over to the main dock and swimming area. Saw some guys catching very small (<6 inches) planters....and keeping them. Why even bother?? Throw them back so they can become lunkers. Had some bites using power bait off the bottom but didn't land anything, I think they were too small. Apparently the key was to use very little to no weight, a 3-4 foot leader and a small piece of worm. Reel just below the surface.
