My daughter, her boyfriend, and myself went out on Saturday. I managed to catch a few seven to nine inch perch using a gold swedish pimple and corn. I was going to use maggots, but the ones I bought the other day were far from lively, I should have inspected them better prior to buying! Several guys were doing quite well, I think they were using perch eyes. We were fishing midway across the lake off the Cove Resort. The road in has been plowed. I'm rating this trip a three because it was great to fish with the kids.

Great to hear about the lake! Im heading over there this weekend! Any trout being caught? How deep is the ice?

Axelfisher,

I saw one trout caught, probably about a foot long. The ice was about 8 or 9 inches thick.

Thanks for the report! Did the fish seem to be coming in cycles throughout the day or was it steady for the perch?

The bite was in cycles, with not much going on in the afternoon.
