Beautiful sunny day, not too windy. Didn't start trolling till about 10:20 Pop gear and wedding ring 40 feet down on rigger. Had to use corn powerbait because I didn't have any worms. Release tripped a couple of times off point on SW side of Mercer I. but no hookups. The water is full of some kind of green plankton or sea-monkeys. What is that stuff? Watch out for those carbon monoxide headaches from trolling down wind!

If that's the same green stuff I've seen up north here (at Lake Cassidy); it's a toxic algae bloom and I'd definitely wash your boat, re-string your reel and all that jazz to keep it from spreading, it's a nasty bugger. I haven't fished Cassidy up here since October because of that stuff; although it may be clear by now as I've not checked it out. Been busy trying a new spot.

If it was Toxic algae they would shut Cassidy down, did they?

i agree with hal, wouldn't the government step in and at least tell the public not to go near the beaches?
