My friend and I went out to Washington Lake with his boat to try our luck at trolling. He doesn't have down-riggers as of yet, just pole holders. So we set up our line with a bunch of weight and some trolling gear. I used one of his spinner setups and a wedding ring. He used a diver with pop-gear and a spoon. I tipped my wedding ring with a piece of that Gulp Worm bait. We found a shelf over by the Juanita Bay area and started to troll over it. I got a bite right over edge of the shelf and reeled in a nice looking rainbow (didn't measure, but I'd say around 15-17 inches). I'm not sure how deep I was when I snagged him, but we couldn't reproduce the outcome. On the whole, it was fun getting out and trolling.
It was cold and overcast. The sun broke through a couple of times which was really nice. I landed the fish when the sun started to break through.
