Fished Beaver with my dad from 1:00-4:45. Trolled a High Lakes Special and a Needlefish deep to the other end of the lake with no hits. Then we stopped and still fished with chartreuse Power Eggs for about an hour and caught a nice 13"er. It didn't take the bait until about ten seconds after the first bite, but after that my dad said it fought great. Then we trolled back to the other end of the lake with our Power Eggs again with no hits. Then we stillfished again at "the hole" and I hooked a 12" rainbow after about 30 seconds of biting. It didn't fight until boatside, so I wasn't sure if I had it on. When it started to fight, it peeled off a bunch of my 6 pound test line on a tight drag. We didn't catch another fish, but we got to watch herons and a bald eagle fly around.

I got a feeling it'll be a little more busy in the coming weeks...Fish and crowds...

iPodrodder, were you looking for these as reported by the Seattle PI???

"Big Beaver Bows

WDFW is going to dump 3,000 rainbow weighing between three and five pounds into Beaver Lake beginning the week of November 12. Should be fun on a five-weight until they're all gone.

Nope he knows they are due this week....Those fish will be a little stunned for a few days after they get dumped out of the truck, but they should be a blast by December if there are any left. That lake gets so much pressure being year around and so close to such a big population...

Nope, my dad and I were doing a recon mission to see if it had turned to "Pine Lake Status". That is where the only fish that you can safely assume live in the lake are the ones you have caught and released because it is so heavily fished. Our verdict was so so. Only saw one bass jumping until twilight, and a few trout made some rises. No fish caught by anyone except us, but there were only a few others on the lake. By the way both trout were released.

Hey try to save a few of them lunks for me, I was there this weekend and caught only a few 17" rainbows on the back pond. I can't believe how low the water still is! Rest assured I'll be there next weekend with a million others I'm sure! Gotta fish it before all the "outsiders" wipe ;em all out! Good luck to yall.
