We got up early. Better weather than Sunday at Summit (snow, rain, sleet, hail, wind. Typical Spring). We were surprised to find how much development is around the lake. After Summit, we expected to find a nice, cold, clean, mountain lake (hey, it's 4475 feet in elev.). Nope, it's a vacation/Summer home lake. Lots of buildings around. The locals can't fish though. We watched quite a few folks trolling and spinning. Nothing for them! We hooked and landed 30-40 fish each. Nice Brookies. All on brown Buggers or a Prince nymph. The Prince was unstoppable! My buddy had a Brown Bugger on and pulled in over 10 fish before I could tie one on. His worked better and I trailed a Prince to see if I could even the odds. They ignored the bugger and only hit the nymph as the morning progressed. We broke for lunch (yummmmm....brookies in the fry pan. Don't yell at me, they're planted AND non-native) and went back out for another dozen or more fish before we had to go home. Good fishing if you like looking in folks backyards all day.
