2 day trip to Banks.

Thursday it was drizzling rain, 40's, windy, and fishing was as bad as I have seen it all year. It has been dynamite here for last few months but it was not so today. Used bottom bouncers and me and another guy caught 1 16.5 incher (only keeper) and 7 dinks ranging from 9-14 inches.

Friday, not as wet, not as cold but much more wind. 3-5 foot swells. Fished for 5 hours and caught 2 dinks and 1 18 incher. The keeper and 1 dink was actually caught on a 6 inch Renegade curly tail vice a night crawler. It was just a bad couple days on Banks.

I came home with 4 walleye fillets. That don't exactly cover the gas and hotel prices. Oh well, I will be back.

Banks is smokin when the sun is out. There is a tournament there this weekend (good friend of mine is fishing it, as well as his dad-in-law/neighbor), for which this is bad news.

Try peanut butter and jelly plastics, I hear they are really instigating a bite right now.

Joe owes me a $1 for every Sally he catches out there, so it probly wont happen. Also, where he is fishing Im certain the are no smallies down there! TC smoked em today Joe, just talked to him.

I havent caught a smallmouth since that day Terry and me drove your boat. I heard they caught 4 over 20 and a bunch of dinks. They had warmer weather and when the weather turned like it was for me Thurs and Fri they shut off. Story of my life. Oh well I am not sure when I will get back there. It might just be the feb freezeout.
