Arrived at 7:30 am, overcast, temperature was about 50 degrees. Slight breeze blowing from NE at about 5 mph. Worked a jig and trailer along a lily pad field at the east end of the lake for about an hour. Switched to a dark gray almost black rooster tail, worked the same lily pads along with skipping it under a dock. Caught one perch about 4" long...one bass surfaced to grab my lure. I was jaw jacking not paying attention and missed the strike. Couldn't regain afterwards. No luck all morning, took a nap while bottom fishing for twenty minutes or so...then left around 1:00pm. Not a good day at all...more than likely will be back to try my luck again.
