hit potholes all day saturday. dusk to dawn. only caught 5 keepers, but 1 9 lb'er. so, the qualty outranked quantity. did not hear results from walleye tourney. also, caught bunches of smallmouth's along the dam face. then hit the perch/crappie fishery for a couple freezer bags of fillets. used handmade double whammy's for walleye, yamamoto grubs for the smallies, and yellow/white jigs for the spinyrays. as the water goes down, the walleye fishery should get better and better. will be back for fishing derby on 28th. email me for info!! i saw some monster trout caught, just not by me (4+lbs.).

i would say the face of the sand dunes for walleye. they are going to be moving in shallower. the face of the dam for the bass. everybody says goose island, but you lose alot of gear, and possibly a prop. that 9 lber would have easily won that walleye tourney that was going on at the same time, i was there. im going to really target the large perch. i freeze a bunch for a couple of winter fish fry's for my kid. ive been getting mixed reports, but i will find them!!!! good luck in the tourney, i'll be in a camo UPS hat.
