A surprising day on Fish Lake. Got on the water about 10:30 a.m., 70 degrees, steady south wind @15-20mph. The surface temperature was 65 degrees and the water was very clear.
Within the first 1/2 hr, I noticed very few fish being marked by the fish finder. That is a first for the entire season. Most of the fish were lying at about 5-9' and up close to the lily pads. Total catch for the day was about 7 fish, all Tigers in the 11-12" range.
The most productive pattern was a #10 Zug Bug, casting to the edge of the pads and stripping in. After 2 p.m., the lake literally shut off. The wind got the better of us, so we called it a day at 4:00 p.m.
