Fished west side of Groat Pt. (Meydenbauer Bay) in 19'-21' jigging with perch meat off the bottom. Caught 40 or so with some 10-11". Daughter out-fished me 2 to 1.

Had a great time fishing with my daughter.

Aside: Leave a wake going under the East Channel Bridge and you will get a ticket. We warned one boat but the second boat got nailed.

Question! Yous aid you caught 40 perches, no bass at all??? After checking some topo map and satellite images, I've been wanting to take my son and go to Meydenbauer Bay for some bass fishing. Mainly because the bottom of the lake is a quick and steep slope down to 20+ ft in less than 0.2 miles off the shore. That means if I launch my raft from one of the beach parks, I don't need to go far into the lake (which is not safe for a small raft like mine), I can just stay in the bay and the depth should be deep enough for some decent fish. Hope so. All plans sound great on paper. :-)

Actually we fished the east side of Groat Pt. We launched at the Mercer Island ramp and trolled divers along the shore up and around the inside of the bay. Caught two SM dinks. Good luck, file a report, let us know how you did!
