Took my girl friend out to newman this morning looking for some large mouth and maybe a tiger. I tried everything I could think of around the wood logs near cherokee landing and the outlet side of the lake where the tuly's are. I was mostly throwing a chartreuse and black buzzbait for some topwater action and only had one hit. Threw a black powergrub in some open areas in the tullys and a slugg-o. No luck at all.

Hit the honeymoon bay area and switched to a purple and black 8 inch salt and garlic worm and started slaying largemouth left and right around rocks, weedlines, docks and anything else you might think they would hang out. Largest was just over 4 lbs, nothing super but a lot of fun.

Also through a white musky killer now and then as we were moving around but to no avail.

good 4 u glad u been catchin!! me too i beeen doin pretty good at newman but DAMM THOS E MUSKIES!!!! I HAVE A HELL OF A TIME GETTING THEM TO BITE, GOT ONE DINK THIS SPRING , BOUT 16 IN.
