Once again got off the graveyard shift at 6:30am and couldn't resist the urge to go fishing. Imagine that! I was a little tired so I didn't feel like messing with my pontoon so I went to Lake WA by the UW. I got there around 8:30 and was fishing by 8:45. It was partly cloudy and cool. The water was clear and there was a slight wind blowing. I was using a senko Texas rigged. There were a lot of fish rising out of the weed beds. I was fishing in about 10ft of water. On my third cast before the worm hit the bottom my line started running. I set the hook and was pleasantly surprised by the weight of the fish. It was a 3lb largemouth. I continued to fish till 11 with a few other hits but they felt like dinks grabbing the worm and running into the weeds. Only caught one fish but quality is better then quantity. The were a few other people fishing but I believe I was the only one targeting bass. Not bad for a quick couple of hours out. Well tight lines and may the the next fish be a lunker! EdmondsBassman aka Jerz Jay
