Som and I went to Chelan for the first time for smallies. The morning bite was going fine with a number of blow-ups. I managed to a number of fish. Most were small, but my best five went anywhere from 1.5-2.6lbs. Som managed only one 13" fish. The water was crystal clear and they were hitting the topwater lure even at around 30ft! Once the sun came up the bite was dead. We then went to Wapato and Som caught some nice spiny rays with one gigantic perch. The next day we went back to Chelan and...........well.......nothing! Two tough days of fishing, so we went home early and hit Sammamish on the way back.
