I started fishing at 7:42am and fished through 2 squalls and caught 2 perch that were smaller than my goldfish. Trolled when the wind came up with a spoon tipped with a worm. They kept taking the worm but I couldn't hook 'em. I stopped fishing at 11:30am as another squall was coming in. But I wasn't the only one out there and they might not tell their story here so I will.
There were guys fishing for catfish and from what I could see they were successful. A man fishing from the launch area caught a 10 lb. cat. Then 2 guys in a boat tossin' what looked like a big nightcrawler had 4 or 5 cats all channel except the biggest that was all black. It may have been 24 inches and the size of the heads width was about 7 inches. I can't estimate the weight but this was the biggest cat I have seen in the flesh.
I googled "catfish in WA" to find out what it may be 'cause no one who saw it, while I was there, knew what type it was. It looks like the real images of a black bullhead.
I don't like catfish or I would be out there fishing for them.
