Got to the lake around 8pm. 4th cast I hooked up with a smallie and the fight was on. She would come up and shake her head like a gator, then straight back down, again, and again. Got her close and she didn't like it so off she went, reel just a screaming. What a rush, these fish have no quit to them. She was 19 inches, and weighed 4.2 pounds on my digital scale. Took several pictures of my new friend, come to find out my wife can't find the usb cord to the camera - wonderful. Used a clown colored 4 inch X Rap. Twitched it real erratic like. The strike came when I paused it after several jerks. Didn't catch anything else, left at 9pm.
