Well now that the weekend is over and I have recovered from riding dirt-bikes for two days in the desert. I am finally caught up enough to give a report. The sign said Winchester "Lake" and I'm sure its also called the Wasteway. I have driven past dozens and dozens of times. This time no boat, but did have my fishing gear, YES!! I always can find time for a quick cast, it was quick... only stopped for 45min. Found a spot where the irrigation water flowed into the reservoir and it was loaded with bass (1 trout too?)! Tossed a red spinner in and 15 bass came out from every shaded spot but didn't strike, the water was crystal clear I could see everything. After a few more casts without a catch I changed Junior up to a roboworm on a jig head... there comes a couple of bass. I threw out a green tube and got the big fish of the 45min. trip. We managed 10 bass biggest shown. And here's a picture of Junior since I didn't get one of his fish!
