Hi, got to the lake at 6:00 A.M., a couple of other boats there. I have been targeting the Kokanee population in the lake since opening. The water surface temp was 74 degrees so the bigger fish were down in the 17' to 35' area. I started out with the down rigger at 20' and varied the depth depending on what the fish finder showed. I use 6 lb. cajun red line to a small silver lake troll with a 6" snubber, 34" leader and home made wedding rings to Bill Herzogg's specs. I caught 7 fish in a matter of 2 hrs, 3 -12" Kokes and 4 rainbows 10 - 13". most of the other folks were getting skunked trying to fish the warm top water. Next I tried my first Bass fishing, succeeded to catch a lot of grass, limbs and other brush, I need to watch some more TV. Happy fishing
