Went to Long Lake for a quick camping/fishing trip at the now state owned Nine Mile Resort. It was hot and then there was the storm that rolled through Friday night. The conditions limited our fishing time but everyone caught at least one bass. The biggest was a 4 lb 6 oz Largemouth. The best action came while fishing from the boat launch dock after the wind blew through and the lightning was nearby Friday night. I caught about 10 Smallmouths in the space of about 2 hours with most being around 1 1/2 - 2 lbs. All were caught on tubes, texas rigged, and crawled along the bottom. The shore access was limited but it could be successfully fished from any small raft, canoe, or tube. I was the only person fishing the dock on Friday because of the storm (which was nice). Saturday morning there were several kids fishing there and the launch was busy with pleasure boaters so I recommend mid-week fishing. All in all a good time and I will definitely be back to fish it again!
