This is a great fishing and scenery lake at the base of Mount Adams.. The water is ultra clear, down to 30 feet (I could see my anchor on a 35 foot rope)... The view of Mount Adam was mind blowing... The fishing was awesome, yellow and pink power bait marshmallow were were catching 12" trout like crazy... Unfortunately, I probably will never return to this lake because of the mosquito's.... It was unbelievable...if you were near the shore or on land you were getting bit, & I had on every repellent I could find, we tried camp fire smoke, anything we could find with deep in it, scentenala candles .... Those buggers were either immune to it or ignored it & they were around 24 hours a day... DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILDREN... If your strictly fishing in the middle of the lake you will have a good time... when you launch or retrieve your boat you will be BITTEN...many many times... This is a stagnant lake with no power boat activity.
