Fished from shore on the park side from 12:30-4 with a friend. He fished for trout, not even a nibble. I went for bass with my pumpkin salamanders. I fished the lily pads between the lodge and point with a few bites then walked over to the canal between the south and main lake. I waded in and started to cast from the opening of the canal towards the main lake. I fished there for a while, then headed back to the point, where I spent the next hour teaching my friend to bass fish. At the end of the day we had ten takes, three hookups, and one fish landed. I need to work on finding the balance between pulling the hook out of the fish's mouth and letting him have it long enough.
