This was my first time fishing Conconully, so I had to spend some time trying to find the fish. Turns out many of the locals were saying that the end by the state park and the end by the dam were good places to start. So, 8:00 AM my girlfriend and I got out on the water for a bit of a late start, but the bite was still on so we were able to hook into some good fish. We landed 3 fish in 2 hours of fishing by the dam. One was about 3 pounds and none were under 14 inches. Worms and power-bait worked well on 3 foot leaders. The morning bite was much better than the evening for some reason. We were fishing in 20-30 feet of water and the water conditions were calm.
