Arrived at the lake about 1:00pm, partly cloudy, 80 degrees with a slight breeze from the southwest. The surface temperature was 71 degrees and the bottom temperature was 53 degrees at 36 ft. The water was exceptionally clear. Almost all the fish showing on the fish finder were at 27 feet on down to the bottom. Only small fish were showing near the surface. I started using a wine colored leech and got a 12" tiger trout soon after leaving the launch. That color was the only one that was getting strikes. I landed 6 tiger trout and lost several others upon reeling them in. The method that proved the most effective was letting out all my line, then short stripping it in. The fish seemed to be grouped up in different areas of the lake. I had to leave around 5:00pm, but wanted to stay a couple more hours.
