Hit Tapps Saturday Morning6 a.m. till about 3 p.m. Took CraigVM62 along for a 8 hour hunt for a possible Tiger. About a hour into it we saw our first Tiger. BIG Musky hit at the boat. I was fiddlin around gettin ready to move. Punched the trolling motor up a little threw my bucktail into the water....not paying attention of course..Craig saw a big swirl at the side of the boat. I figure 8,16..zig zagged, double u'd.... rod was 4 feet into the water. Fish came back at hit the buck hard I drew back to set the hook..pulled the buck right out of his jaws..Fish was a good solid fish....solid 45 inch..25-30lb fish.Gorgeous fish!!
Craig raised a nice solid 40 inch Musky on the north side of Snagg around 10 ish. Black spinner...Yup black on a sunny day..go figure.Caught a 18 inch Smallie just off the boat ramp on Tapps. In 24 ft of water.17 feet down. On a 3 inch brown grub. (See foto) Then I spotted a Big Musky in an inlet just south of the Bankers Isle bridge. Setting right under my boat. Fishfinder picked him up too. Not a carp!! All in all, great day. I got Craig hooked on skis'..my job is done! Just got to get one in the net!! Water temp is 68 degrees. Pretty clear..not much weed growth yet. Remember bright day, bright colors and Muskies do hit before 7:30 a.m. Kenster...he he !! The fish are out there...get out there!! Its going to be better this whole next week...lake is still down about a foot from full pool.Watch for the stumps guys...Later, see yah
