well me and my bro hit battle ground at about 7am. We saw many fish topping the water so we decided to go for trout.........we were skunked after 2 hours of lures, bottom fishing, and bobber fishing. So we tried for some bass along the shore line only seeing small 6-7 inchers following the plugs. It just wasn't working. We left the lake with nothing but thoughts of better times. We decided to try the lewis river because my friend had just caught a trout there earlier that morning, instead we got lost and we found fargher lake. Right away my brother reeled in a 7-9 inch bluegill, and i caught a small LG mouth. We decided to head out on the raft because we knew if there were small bass there are big ones. Began to catch 6-8 inch bass on a 3 inch silver rapala sinking plug. As we worked our way along the bank we caught many fish, then i hooked up into a 15 inch large mouth which gave a nice fight, took a picture and releases him to be caught again. It was a fun day on a lake i have never fished......now that i know plugs work well it seems i will have to try Lacamas for a trophy bass.

Anyone else ever been to fargher???

Just went there this morning and had close to the same luck. I caught about 13 all under 12 inches they were all over just could not find any of the bigger ones. I worked the entire shore so we will see what happens next time. I was talking to a guy who lives in the area and he said they drain it from time to time so who knows whats in that lake.

Concerning Fargher Lake. I looked at it on google maps and could not see any public access, so I went to the game warden's office on Grand right by Fourth Plain and asked about it. They said the department was offered a chance to buy it last year and turned it down. They did say the used to stock it with trout, but they told me there was no public access. Perhaps we are in different spots on the map. I entered this on google maps: Fargher Lake, Uninc Clark County, WA
I switched to "hybrid" and there is a body of water just southwest of NE Fargher Lake Highway and NE Lewisville Highway. Is this where you were fishing? Is there a marked access? I did not want to drive all that way and not be in the right place lol!
