i hit the shady for my first time today and caught my first actual fish on new spinner. i wouldn't have caught anything if it wasn't for the old timers that were there giving me tips on how, where, and what to cast. they gave me some pointers and some pretty nice rainbows. I'm keeping the bait a secret cuz i don't know if they want me giving away any secrets. i was there from 11:00 am to about 4:00pm a good 5 hours after an old timer set me up with a rig i caught a good 9" rainbow from the boat ramp in about 10 minutes which is the only public access fishing on that lake that i know of. there were some trollers out there and the guy next to me said that one of them reeled in a good 22" trout.
later on another guy showed up and he caught two 10" + rainbows and the person that was there before me had caught two 12"+ rainbows. really nice lake no internal combustion engines and 5 a day only one over 14" please.
