My son and I were out yesterday and decided to come back. We started out at 9:30 or so and weren't disappointed. The wind was up a little, but it was clear and warm so lil' Zach was o.k. We just slathered on the sunblock a few times! We used green wedding rings with a small worm on them and BAM! Every pass we did gave up at least 2 fish, all trout and all between 9" and 12". We used red wedding rings too, but they didn't work as well. They did work, but green was the color. We used green rooster tails with a worm too, but again, better results with a green ring. While my son ate his lunch I decided to try for some of the big bass I heard rumored in here, but I saw none using a jig and pig. We went back to trolling the middle of the lake at about "3" on the trolling motor, and BOOM BOOM BOOM, here they came again. Between us we had 7 fish, 5 on my sons' rod and 2 on mine. I owe him 3 bucks for the first, most and biggest fish!! At about noon things slowed down, and so did he, so we packed it in. I gave the lake a 5 rating because if you have a small boat, YOU WILL CATCH FISH!!! And my son loves it out there. Oh yeah, all fish were released, and swam away home!
fish on!
