If you are a serious trout fisherman this is not the lake to go to. I would describe this lake as a 400 acre shallow mud puddle full of weeds. I can see where this would be considered a great bass lake but for the life of me I don't see why they are dumping triploids in here. All I heard was grumbling from bank anglers about this and I will have to agree with them, I'm sure there are other lakes more deserving. We started at 6:30 am using floating fly line and an olive bugger hooked and released 3 rainbows in three hours all in the 10 or 11 inch range. Covered the whole lake and even with floating line seemed we would snag weeds about every 20 feet, we did how ever manage to find about a 100 foot stretch where there were no weeds and the depth was between 7 and 8 feet. To be honest with you I don't believe I will ever waste my time here again, on a happier note my passenger landed his first trout on a fly rod. But as he said not even that fact would bring him back there again.
