Hit the lake to try out my new trolling motor. Minn-Kota T30 (great trolling motor) and did some scouting and metering. Made a few cast into some fishy reeded areas and lost a big one in the lily pads. Was a bit windy and sprinkled the whole time. A couple more times on the water and I will have this lake down. Metered a ton of fish at 7-10ft. Got in the water at 7pm and pulled out at 9pm. Quick trip to check out the lake and almost had a good fish tossing a senko t-rigged. Ran into a couple people catching trout on pop gear and on power bait. Nothing huge but some good grillers. I will be back out on this lake soon to tie on to a big bass.

hey there BBD, I've fished Buck Lake a few times. Very tough bass fishing for me. Only managed to catch dinks. It is on the northern part of the Kitsap Pennisula. From Poulsbo, take the Bond Road for about 7 miles to Hansville Road N.E. Follow Hansville Road straight north for about 7 miles to Buck Lake Road.

If you live on the other side of the Sound, maybe not, unless, like me, you have an insatiable appetite for exploring new bass lakes. Also, on the plus side, no internal combustion engines are allowed on the lake so that part would be good for your pontoon boat. I fished it from a canoe.

The bass are tough but there are some big ones. My cousin has caught a 5.6lb out of there. Myself a 1.8lb. Dez, stick to Cottage. It has the greatest potential for big bass and a good bite. That's why I drive/ferry to that area just to fish there. I live on the Kitsap Pennisula. If you get an itch to head this way let me know, love to fish with ya sometime.
