Fished the evening with my cousin. Hit the water about 6:00 pm and had a nice 12" rainbow in the first minute.. my thought was this might get good... wrong... that was it... had numerous strikes but many of them were probably bluegill as we caught one. It was perfectly calm with no real trout rising.. water temp was at 68. We tried sinking and floating lines. trolling, stripping, 6-10 different flies and sizes, but nothing. just fished the south lake by the launch. This is a good lake, but think the heat and fishing pressure has finally slowed things down. My obvious clue should have been that no one was fishing. I had good success here earlier in the spring.
