After last Sunday's success at Dog Lake, I headed back up for a few hours this afternoon. It was COLD and WINDY, but that didn't stop the fish from biting. Just like last time, I fished along the highway 12 side of the lake. I used about eighteen inches of leader, size 8 egg hook, and three fluorescent pink power eggs. I limited out in about an hour, so I didn't have to endure mother nature's fury too awful long. Unlike last time, larger fish were biting this time. I caught two 12 inchers, two 14 inchers and one fifteen incher. The WDFW has not posted anything about stocking triploids yet, and three of these were too big to be stockers, so I am assuming they were carry overs. There was one other group of people fishing pretty close to me, and based on their hooting and hollering they must have been doing well too. Beautiful lake, great action! You can't beat that! There will be some good eating out of these guys!
