I took my family camping at Lake Easton State Park for Memorial day weekend, I fished Easton on Fri. night and got skunked! Marked a lot of fish on the finder, even had some bites, but landed nothing. The next day we went to Kachess, and we were catching with out a doubt the ugliest fish I've ever seen. It looked like a cross between a LMB and a trout. It had a prominent lower jaw, when the mouth was closed the thing kinda looked like a trout, but when you opened the mouth it was round and looked like a bass mouth. Anyways, all we kept catching was this mystery fish. One was about 2.5 lbs! Does anyone know what kind of fish this is? Help me if you've been there and caught the same thing. Some one told me it was Shad, but I looked up shad online, and they're in rivers close to the ocean. The closest thing I could find online was a mountain white fish, but they didn't have the same mouth. Who knows what these critters are? Let me know!

sounds like a northepike minnow, aka squawfish.

Your catching Burbot, we've been there and caught many, mostly on the northern end in deep water.
