Just finished a week on my favorite lake. Camping was great, weather warm and sunny. Fishing was horrible - only 2 strikes in 4 days of fishing. Nothing rising on the excellent mayfly and damsel hatches. Tremendous midge hatch in the morning hours a good caddis hatch in the evening, but only a few fish working them. All the reed beds occupied by bass. Surface water temps were 62 - 68 degrees. Even the bass headed for deep water as soon as the sun hit the water. None of the other fisherman I talked to caught any trout - zippo. Rumor on the lake is that it will be re-hab'd this fall.
